- Melissa Hackett
Melissa
has continually surpassed expectations this semester with her involvement
in the Chapter. A communication and public relations junior from Traverse
City, Melissa worked hard on the development of the PR ApPRentice proposal,
has volunteered for numerous events and most recently was selected for
the 2009 Bateman team! Melissa is interested in entertainment public relations
but her dream job is to be an agent like Ari Gold in the show Entourage.
Congratulations
Melissa and keep up the great work!
September
- Ragina Smith

Ragina,
a communication and public relations junior from Detroit, has attended
every general meeting so far and has volunteered for several of our events.
She’s a great example of someone that is making the most of her
PRSSA membership and all that our organization has to offer. Ragina aspires
to work in entertainment public relations or travel and tourism.

If you have
any news about scholarships or internships attained either by yourself
or one of your fellow members, be sure to e-mail the information to our
Webmaster. We would love to share your hard work with our members and
to congratulate you! We are proud to have such a dedicated chapter and
sharing your accomplishments is a great way to network!
- Congratulations
to Jenni Lewis, our chapter Public Relations Director, who was the recipient
of the National Gold Key award. The National Gold Key Award was created
in 1983 to acknowledge outstanding PRSSA members. It is the highest
individual honor bestowed upon members of the Public Relations Student
Society of America. It recognizes those students who display outstanding
academic excellence in public relations and leadership qualities in
PRSSA. Keep up the awesome PR work, Jenni. You're helping put MSU PRSSA
on the map!!
Alumni
Accomplishments
If you are
a PRSSA alumni member, feel free to share your accomplishments and either
past or present employment positions or internships. You are an excellent
example to our aspiring members, so please tell us about what you have
done and where you have been along your PR career path. This year, one
of our Chapter’s goals is to build our alumni database and we need
your help to do this! If you are a previous PRSSA member, please e-mail
your name, current employer, a brief job description and contact information,
including geographic location, to msu.prssa.alumni@gmail.com. We will
not post your contact information on the Web site, but if you are interested
in being contacted by members for jobs and internships, we will give contact
information to those members who request it. Also, if you have stayed
in touch with other members, please encourage them to do the same as well!
We are thrilled that you have been a part of our thriving chapter here
at MSU, and others need to know about your success. Thanks and please
continue to shine! |
